Students will be guided through the Moon Sequence as developed by Matthew Sweeney. Designed as a complement to the primary series in Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, this vinyasa style practice has a cooling, grounding effect, while still energizing the entire body, focusing on hips, shoulders and sacrum.
I am so excited to be able to share something that I have found so helpful in my own practice! I enjoy the Moon Sequence practice at least once a week, as I find it grounding and comforting. This beautiful vinyasa sequence complements an Ashtanga primary series practice, as there is no jumping through or back, and the rolling vinyasa between seated poses is designed to calm the nervous system.
This class is suitable for all levels of student, though some experience with Ashtanga yoga is helpful.
